Wintry Weather Wednesday

Slick spots have developed on bridges and overpasses; primarily from Bentonville & Rogers south to Springdale.

There are accidents already on I49. Expect delays this morning.

Radar shows mostly rain with a wintry mix at times in the Ozarks.

The nature of the wave passing overhead could lead to bursts of snow or freezing rain. Which cause roads to deteriorate fast for a short period of time before quickly returning to problems confined to bridges and overpasses.

Later today, additional wintry weather will be possible across Benton County with pockets of wintry weather farther south. High elevation bridges and overpasses could be slick in spots today all along I49.

Temperatures will hold near or just above freezing today precluding a more impactful winter event but rain may mix with snow or sleet even as far south as Fort Smith where a cold rain will be the most dominate type.
