Thursday continues to be the day to watch for severe thunderstorms. The storms will first develop into Oklahoma before moving into Arkansas. Severe hail will be the on-going concern for Thursday with storms potentially continuing into the overnight.
By Thursday evening, storms will be widespread across Arkansas, Oklahoma and Missouri. Some of the highest instability will be in West Central Arkansas from Mena to Hochatown in SE Oklahoma.
Large hail will be possible across all of Northwest Arkansas from Fort Smith to Fayetteville to Rogers and Bentonville.
As the system upfolds, the front will eventually push across the area overnight with storms ending from west to east.
The next big weather feature to watch will be the big push of cold air over the weekend and the possibility of another widespread freeze next Monday and Tuesday.

How do you turn on alerts for bad weather?
If you have notification turned on… you’ll receive any of the push notifications that are sent but as of now, the app won’t push severe watches and warnings, just any custom alert I send out. To be blunt, apps like The Weather Channel will push the alerts faster with more detail than mine will. You can also enable WEA alerts on your mobile device and it’ll go off automatically when the NWS issues tornado warnings
I started to have weather anxiety. 3 time slots in a half hour news program is overkill. I don’t care when a front comes into California. Its crazy to forecast from that because it changes unpredictably while it gets here. I am glad I have another more realistic option. Thanks
Hey, Garrett! This is going to be very strange, today the15th after the storm last night, I had a pan on back steps for dog water-it had rained in the pan and I found several little tiny worms in pan. Out front of the house was another pan used for washing car, it had even more of the same type worms? How can this be? Never been worms in dog water before. Can you reply to this?
I’m not sure, we had a lot out there in the dog water along with the concrete patio. They were all dead and dehydrated by afternoon 🤷🏼♂️
