All in all, not a bad Sunday at all for us. High temperatures will be unusually warm in the mid to upper 70s. May of us in South OZ will crack 80º. We’ll have a few passing high clouds but otherwise, expect lots of sunshine and breezy south winds.
Ironically, when the brush fire risk is highest, this is usually when the forestry service manages the most controlled burns. I would expect more of these today in the Ozarks and Ouachitas. A link to the updated daily list of fires is on the “Weather Forecast” tab of the homepage.
The severe weather risk on Tuesday is looking a little lower. The upper level winds will lift the trough to the northeast with some of the stronger storms and heavier amounts of rain happening in SE Missouri and Illinois.
Still needs to be monitored but it’s looking like a 1 on a scale of 1 to 5.

Good to know storms may be lower.
