Another Strong Arctic Front

Big melt today…

Big freeze tonight.

**Watching Sun PM/Mon AM for Freezing Rain**

Highs hit 40s today and then another arctic surge arrives this evening.

Expect flurries after dark with winds gusting to 25mph. Wind chill as low as -5° Gross.

After this front, the pattern is about to flip to warmer and wetter.

It still looks like the chance for ice and freezing rain late Sunday into Monday before everything changes over to all rain.

It depends on how fast the cold air gets scoured out and how much warm air advection we get aloft. Sometimes they offset.

I think the Monday AM drive may be the most affected.

A transition to all rain happens later in the day on Monday.

These type icing events are usually most pronounced on Cavanal, Magazine and higher elevations like around Winslow.

I49 Mon AM could be an adventure.

Next week is trending soggy, not snowy.

[Image shows this evening around 7pm. The cold air will be a little laggy but we’ll all feel it by Friday morning]
