Severe Weather Wednesday April 30th

🚨 Severe Weather…

Data shows the highest risk of severe storms today in the Noon to 3pm timeframe for western Arkansas.

This image reflects data at 2pm on Wednesday

Damaging winds will be likely along with a tornado risk that’s highest in SW Arkansas.

I’ll be out of pocket today but my colleagues Skot Covert will be tracking them across the Ozarks and Zachary Hall – Arkansas Storm Tracker will be tracking them across the state.

I’d expect the severe risk to be over for the drive home. School dismissal might be tricky. 😬

ā€¼ļøMore thunderstorms today; Severe risk is higher. Timing is Noon to 3pm.

The highest risk of severe weather will be in the vicinity of of the front which is currently draped from around Durant, Oklahoma to near Mena, Arkansas.

North of the front in northwestern Arkansas, expect more of a hail risk with damaging winds from Fort Smith to Fayetteville with a lower risk for Rogers & Bentonville.

šŸŒŖļø There will be a higher tornado risk from I40 and south; particularly SW Arkansas.
