Friday Severe Risk

Limited severe risk from 11am to 2pm in west/northwest Arkansas.

Widespread severe weather is more likely in east Arkansas later Friday afternoon and evening.

With the passage of the dry line, wind will roar with gusts as high as 60mph. The strongest wind will be in the afternoon hours on Friday.

There’s at least a limited chance these storms could be severe but the strongest storms are expected in NEA into MS/TN/KY/MO/IL this afternoon.

The fire danger is high to extreme across the area with winds gusting as high as 60mph.

The strongest winds will be this afternoon and evening, it’ll be a warm wind.

The cooler air is laggy and doesn’t get here until later tonight.
