The strong cold front is arriving and with it, pockets of light snow/sleet.

Accumulation will be minimal if you even receive any. Maybe 1/2” of snow at best across the Ozarks at elevations over 1,000ft in NWA low elevations in the River Valley pick up a wintry mix or very cold rain.
There could be a few travel issues in NWA early Sunday but the bitter cold is the big story. Highs only near freezing on Sunday.
❄️ ⚠️Early heads up… I think we’ll have widespread disruptions and cancellations across much of Arkansas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Given the nature of the cold air, I think the travel problems could persist long after everything moves out. Thursday might be slick out there, too.
Bottom line, the next weather system will probably force all of us to change some kind of plan in the upcoming workweek and the cold will be the coldest so far this winter season.
